November and December is a very special time in North Texas, Dallas Fort Worth and the general DFW metro area with all the Christmas light displays, holiday light festivals and trails for the Holiday Season. This year, we are gathering up information on many towns and neighborhoods that are extra special in so for as their Christmas Light displays making some neighborhoods a Christmas winter wonderland. Nov. 21, 2007 - Jan. 1, 2008 - Whistle Stop Christmas! (Cleburne, TX)
Come experience the sights and sounds of our Christmas wonderland with over 3 million lights lighting Hulen Park in Cleburne, Texas. Spectacular!... Enchanting!... Delightful!... Are just a sampling of descriptions for this seasons Whistle Stop Christmas! Commemorating its 11th Year Anniversary, Whistle Stop Christmas intends to celebrate with grandeur for the entire family to enjoy! Nov. 21 - Dec. 31, 2007 - 2007 Wonderland of Lights Celebration (Marshall, Texas)
Come enjoy our world-renowned Christmas extravaganza & famous small-town, East Texas hospitality Thanksgiving through New Years' Eve. Wonderland of Lights is one of the largest Christmas celebrations in the United States & attracts tourists from all 50 states and other countries. Nov. 22 - Dec. 31, 2007 - Prairie Lights Holiday Display (Grand Prairie, TX)
This holiday season enjoy the magic and beauty of the bigger and better Prairie Lights holiday display extravaganza. Drive through almost 2 miles of awesome holiday displays featuring hundreds of holiday themed, lighted displays and over 3 million lights! Set in scenic Lynn Creek Park on Joe Pool Lake in Grand Prairie, this lighted theme park is perfect for the entire family. Half way through your drive, get our of your car in Holiday Village where you can purchase seasonal eats and drinks, take a picture with Santa, pick gifts for everyone, and experience the all new Holiday Magic Theater, where you will see 500,000 lights transform from one scene to another all choreographed to music. Nov. 22 - Dec. 31, 2007 - Highland Park Neighborhood (Highland Park, TX)
This has been our favorite for over 40 years.  The main entrance as we call it, is at Armstrong Parkway and Preston Road.  See map here  The area of beautifully decorated homes consist of about a 21 block area, which is bordered by Preston on the east side, Mockingbird as the northern border, the Dallas Toll way on the west side and Armstrong Parkway, which should be your entrance way.  Exquisite holiday displays that will delight both the young and old in this drive by tour of lights and displays.  Thank you Highland Park for giving so much at Christmas time to the Dallas community. Excellent must see for all.

Nov. 23 - Jan. 1, 2008 - Christmas in the Square (Frisco, TX)
You won't want to miss this extraordinary holiday light show which runs nightly from Friday, November 23, 2007 through January 1, 2008 -- 5:30-10:00 pm. The synchronized holiday music will be broadcast on a low-power FM station as well as fed through speakers which can be heard throughout Frisco Square. Featuring over 70,000 lights, by Illumimax, LLC, a nationally recognized lighting consultant and Frisco resident, Jeff Trykoski. The Trykoski family has received local and national attention for their annual computerized Christmas light show at their home in Frisco for years past, and has teamed up with Frisco Square again this year. Nov. 23 - Dec. 29, 2007 - Drive Though Holiday Lighting Display (Denison, TX)
Drive through and view the holiday lighting display at Loy Lake Park, Exit 67 off Hwy. 75, Denison, Texas. Open 5:30 - 10:00 p.m. nightly and is FREE to the public. Details at www.denisontexas.us

Dec. 2 - 30, 2007 - Kessler Park Holiday Lights (Dallas, TX)
The Kessler Park neighborhood in north Oak Cliff overlooking the Downtown Dallas skyline and in the shadows of Methodist Central Hospital, will once again be displaying thousands of lights on the traffic islands of this beautiful community and complimented with dozens of homes being decorated in colorful displays.  Details about this historical neighborhood and location can be found at www.kesslerpark.org/holidaylights.htm 

Dec. 2 - 30, 2007 - The Deerfield Christmas (Frisco, TX)
Our 2007 Christmas display consists of roughly 65,000 lights which are computer controlled and synchronized to music. The lights are synchronized to several songs which are broadcast to passing vehicles over a low-power FM transmitter (92.9 FM). Details at www.friscochristmas.com 

Dec. 2 - 31, 2007 - Farmers Branch Tour of Lights (Farmers Branch, TX)
Thousands of vehicles are expected throughout December to feast their eyes on 300,000 lights in trees and on displays during the 2007 edition of the Farmers Branch Holiday Tour of Lights, continuing through the end of the month. The Holiday Tour now continues each night, from 6:30 until 9:30 p.m. through New Year’s Eve. The driving tour begins at I-35E at Valley View and follows the candy cane signs down William Dodson Parkway and around to the Farmers Branch Historical Park. Admission to the Historical Park portion is free with donations accepted by the non-profit organizations assisting with the display. Dec. 7 - 9, 2007 - Celebrate Christmas (Fort Worth, TX)
Come join us as we celebrate the miracle of Christmas! At Celebrate Christmas, you’ll experience 12 scenes from the life of Christ, reenacted live as you drive through Trinity Park from the comfort of your own vehicle. You’ll be guided on your journey by a narrated audio recording. Your choice of either a CD or cassette tape will be provided to you free-of-charge as you enter the park The audio narration is available in 7 languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Cantonese, Mandarin and Arabic. Dec. 8, 2007 - 17th Annual Christmas Boat Parade (Grand Prairie, TX)
17th Annual Christmas Boat Parade, Lynn Creek Park on Joe Pool Lake, Grand Prairie. Holiday carolers and fun for the entire family including the parade of boats lavishly decorated for Christmas. Dec. 8 - 9, 2006 - Holiday Lights Tour (Fort Worth)
This year’s annual Holiday Lights bus tour, sponsored by The T and Stockyards Station on Saturday, Dec. 8 and Sunday, Dec. 9, will wind past more than 200 decorated homes and includes pre-tour family-friendly entertainment, activities and refreshments.  For complete details, please visit www.the-t.com 

About Dec. 15 - 31, 2007 - Interlochen Lights Display (Arlington, TX)
During the holiday season, homeowners in this northwest Arlington subdivision join their neighbors in adorning their homes with festive lights and holiday exhibits. This neighborhood attracts spectators and tour groups from near and far. The holiday lights in the Arlington neighborhood of Interlochen are known throughout the Metroplex as a stunning display.  The light competition usually begins in mid-December.  The route to view the lights traditionally begins at Randol Mill at Westwood, west of Cooper Street.  For more information, call the City Manager's Office at 817-459-6100 or view the city's web site at www.ci.arlington.tx.us/events/ for updated information.
