The Grapevine Vintage Railroad’s Sweetheart Express is a romantic escape and a perfect way to celebrate Valentine's Day. The train will depart at 6:00 pm from the historic Cotton Belt Depot, located at 705 S. Main St. in Grapevine. Feb. 17 - 23, 2008 - Explore Engineering Through Hands-on Adventures (Fort Worth, TX)
The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History will team up with engineers from Lockheed Martin and IBM this month to introduce guests to engineering concepts through a series of fun-filled Engineers Week activities. Starting Sunday, February 17, guests who visit the Museum’s exhibits on the lower level of the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame can wrap their brains around engineering concepts by putting their hands to work with real engineering projects. A team of volunteers from Lockheed Martin and IBM will work with guests to explain the principles of flight, demonstrate aerodynamics, and offer advice to budding architects. The Engineers Week activities are free with admission to the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, the temporary home of Fort Worth Museum of Science and History exhibits, including ExploraZone, Hands on Studio, and KIDSPACE. Feb. 23, 2008 - Cowtown Marathon (Fort Worth, TX)
Join us Saturday, February 23, 2008 for The Cowtown Marathon: Fort Worth's premier road race for adults and children, for the expert, and the novice. The 26th annual NTIF features many of the top Irish musicians and dancers in the world and a number of cultural presentations on eight stages at Fair Park. Again, in 2008 the NTIF will open its Festival on Friday night, February 29, at 6 PM with full festival activities, including performances by national and regional musicians.
