Sep. 19 - Nov. 1, 2009 - Autumn at the Arboretum - Great Pumpkin Festival (Dallas, TX)
Discover the rich colors of autumn at the Dallas Arboretum where over 150,000 flowers bloom every fall. Sep. 19, 2009 - Toyota Tour des Fleurs 10K and 20K (Dallas, TX)

O’Reilly Fall Nationals is an annual event that features NHRA’s top competitors racing for the Walley.  The Texas Motorplex is a favorite of drivers for the all-concrete race surface and ideal weather conditions, NHRA national events at Texas Motorplex commonly yield national records. Sep. 25 thru Oct. 18, 2009 - State Fair of Texas (Dallas, TX)
The 2009 State Fair of Texas will be held this year from Sept. 25 to Oct. 18, 2009 at the Dallas Fair Park, a 277-acre entertainment and recreation complex owned by the City of Dallas, which is located two miles east of downtown Dallas. The theme for 2009 is "All aboard for food and fun!", which is a tip of the hat to hospitality, good eats and non-stop good times, Texas style. The City of Lewisville will present the popular Annual Western Day Festival, Saturday, Sept. 26, in Old Town Lewisville. Sep. 26, 2009 - Walks to Cure Diabetes (Dallas, Irving, & Plano, TX)
OJDRF sponsors fundraising Walks to Cure. The multi-site Walk draws 25,000 people together in a healthy activity for a worthy cause, raising money to help find a cure for diabetes. Sep. 26, 2009 - Latin American Fair (Dallas, TX)
Please join Mountain View College's Office of Student Life and Spanish Department celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with the largest Latin American fair celebrating cultura through the arts. Performances include Dallas Capoeira, Conte de Loyo Flamenco Theatre, the Sidney Lanier Elem. Baile Folklorico, MVC Latin Jazz Ensemble, Zumba, Latin Mix Dance Group, Mambo Dallas, and the Asociacion Peruana. There will also be book signings by Columbian author Wilson Pinilla and Texan author Travis Blair. Sep. 27, 2009 - Barkin' Bow Wow Luau at Hawaiian Falls  (Mansfield, TX)
Bring your four legged best friend and join the Humane Society of North Texas and the Ellis County SPCA for a splashin' good time at the inaugural Barkin' Bow Wow Luau at Hawaiian Falls Mansfield on September 27 12-5 PM. Tickets are good for one human and up to two well behaved canine companions. Tickets are $15 in advance and are available at either shelter, or $20 day of the event. Sep. 28 - Oct. 2, 2009 - GO TEXAN Restaurant Round-Up (Texas)
Texans across the state are invited to participate in the second GO TEXAN Restaurant Round-Up, the weeklong statewide dine-out celebration from Monday, Sept. 28, to Friday, Oct. 2, 2009. Participating GO TEXAN restaurants will give patrons a special dining experience by serving Texas menu options, featuring locally produced foods, Texas wines, shrimp, fresh produce and much more. Many of the participating restaurants have pledged to donate a portion of the day’s proceeds to food banks across the state.
