Thrill Park (Terrell, TX)
Promising to scare the yell out of you this Halloween season, Thrillvania Thrill Park kicks off its 14th Halloween season as the most fright-filled haunted attraction in the Metroplex, where no diabolical detail in design or delivery is spared. With 50 acres encompassing eight attractions, a midway and a haunted store, Thrillvania is a fright factory sure to get your blood flowing. The cornerstone of this fear farm is Verdun Manor, a two-story haunted house originally designed by Disney Imagineers and said to boast more props per square foot than any other haunt in the country.
See website for cost, times, and dates. www.thrillvania.com
Below are listed the haunts this Thrill Park has to offer all
those who dare....
- Haunted Verdun
Manor - Verdun Manor is said to be under a curse made by Baron Michael Verdun, a psychotic werewolf who built the mansion and used it for cruel experiments on humans traveling along Voodoo Bayou, and his vampire wife Cassandra. Murdered by an angry mob, the curse was cast in the gory halls and walls from the dining room of death to the pumpkin head torture chamber to the room of dead heads. Even today, whispers are heard, items seem to move, and Baron Michael Verdun and his bride remain alive in the walls of their personal house of horrors.
- VooDoo Bayou - The Bayou surrounding the Verdun Manor Grounds. A thick fog obscures your vision as you try to feel you way out. The creatures of the Bayou aren't friendly to visitors and they can't wait to show you why.
- Cassandra's Labyrinth of Terror
is haunted by the angry spirit of Lady Cassandra D’Arque, who was decapitated a century ago. Unable to rest in peace, her twisted mind, like a labyrinth, is full of vignettes of her disturbed past. Cassandra’s undead memories challenges you to see the world as she does -- full of terror!
- Dr. Lycan's Trail of Torment -
You start out thinking you’re just taking a pleasurable walk in the woods, at Dr. Lycan’s Trail of Torment is much more dangerous. Dr. Lycan is a one-time psychologist gone mad. He helped Baron Michael Verdun perform horrendous experiments on travelers passing by Verdun Manor. Now those maniacal monsters have been turned loose to wreak havoc on innocents walking along the trail. Brave souls stroll through the woods now part of Dr. Lycan’s psychic realm. What’s real? What’s a delusion? You decide -- if you dare.
- Granny Lupus's Séance Theatre -
It’s all in the family when you visit Granny Lupus’ Séance Theatre. The matriarch of Verdun Manor may be dead, but her fearless flying phantoms are alive. Come bare witness to the physical manifestations of spirits haunting the Verdun estate, and you will experience how Granny Lupus keeps the dead restless and stirs the spirits to stay alive.
- Maze of Chaos
is an outdoor maze of fright-filled twists and turns full of surprises that are not for the faint of heart. Take a disorienting trip through light, sound, and metal, and see where you come out and if you can survive.
- Six Feet
Blunder - Produced by Skulltronix, Six Feet Blunder is Texas’ first 4-D seated attraction. You won’t know whether to laugh, cry or scream as you experience every sensation but taste. Set in a funeral home gone bad, this maniacal mortuary adventure utilizes state of the art special effects leading to monstrous mayhem.
- New for 2009 is Thorn Hall, a chilling experience in sensory overload. Cloaked in absolute darkness, you can hear what Mortimer Thorn has in store for you, but you can’t see what’s right in front of you.
