ACLU of Texas - The American Civil Liberties Union is the nation's foremost advocate of individual rights -- litigating, legislating, and educating the public on a broad array of issues affecting individual freedom in the United States. American Council of the Blind - The American Council of the Blind is the nation's leading membership organization of blind and visually impaired people. It was founded in 1961 and incorporated in the District of Columbia. American Heart Association - Information about fighting heart disease and strokes. Searchable site gives you clinical information, guides to eating healthy and an overview of AHA programs. American Society for Quality - Dallas Section - ASQ is a society of individual and organizational members dedicated to the ongoing development, advancement, and promotion of quality concepts, principles, and techniques with a vast array of interests. American Red Cross-Texas - The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. Animal Rescue League - The Animal Rescue League (ARL) is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to the quality care of homeless, sick, and/or abused animals in the North Texas area. Big Brothers and Big Sisters - Children are our greatest natural resource. They need positive role models they can look up to and admire. We have been providing hope to Dallas area children by offering mentoring relationships since 1927. Boys4Toys, Inc. - Boys4Toys is a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit who's stated mission is "strengthening community ties by collecting toys for Dallas' less fortunate children." Center for Computer Assistance for the Disabled - The Center for Computer Assistance to the Disabled, Inc (C-CAD) is a 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is "enhancing the quality of life and employment options of persons with disabilities through the use of modified personal computers, adaptive devices, and custom software". C-CAD is supported by donations provided by individual, foundation and corporate gifts. Child Relief and You - C.R.Y.'s chief objectives are to restore to children their basic rights to food, shelter, and education. In short, for every child, the promise of a future!! CRY supports individuals and organizations working directly with the children. CRY endeavors to build these individuals and organizations into effective instruments of change. Therefore CRY plays a critical role in terms of capacity building of its partners through ongoing interactions in the field and regional partner meets. Community Services Foundation - Our mission is to improve the living climate conditions for elderly/disabled, low-income homeowners by providing safe, energy efficient heating and air conditioning equipment. We offer annual services such as "Heat the Town" in the winter, which provides repairs and services to heating equipment for eligible homeowners and "Beat the Heat" in the summer, which provides window air conditioning units for eligible homeowners. We also donate complete heating and air conditioning systems for new homes built by Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity and the necessary field labor to install them. Dallas Challenge, Inc. - Our mission is to be a leader in creating and delivering quality prevention and intervention services for young people and their families. Substance abuse, truancy, school failure juvenile delinquency, etc. are multi-faceted problems in need of multi-faceted solutions. Dallas Challenge works collaboratively with organizations in our community to provide comprehensive, quality services to meet the needs of the families we serve. Dallas Habitat for Humanity - Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity (DAHfH), an ecumenical housing ministry in partnership with families, volunteers and others, builds communities of hope, dignity and self-worth through the construction of quality, affordable housing and the nurture of decent, safe neighborhoods. Dallas Lighthouse for the Blind - For vision-impaired individuals, the Dallas Lighthouse offers opportunities to succeed. Because at the Lighthouse, we focus on abilities, not disabilities. We believe sight-disabled people can achieve a positive, productive quality of life -- at home, at work and at play. So we offer a variety of programs to help citizens with vision impairments reach their full potential. To develop independence, dignity and self-respect -- qualities important to us all. Daylily Growers of Dallas - The Daylily Growers of Dallas is a nonprofit educational organization whose purpose is to promote interest in growing the genus Hemerocallis and to conduct research in its breeding and culture. DFW Center for Autism - The Dallas Ft Worth Center for Autism provides empirically-based treatment services (ABA) for children with autism, training and support for professionals and parents, and an abundance of resources for the local community. The DFWCFA is a non-profit organization that is very grateful for your generous and much needed donation. |
