Dallas Holocaust Museum
In 1977 approximately 200 Jewish Holocaust Survivors joined together and formed an organization called Holocaust Survivors in Dallas.  Their unique experience of rebuilding their lives after surviving the terror of the Holocaust gave them the determination to educate the public at large about this devastating event.  The result of their efforts is the Dallas Holocaust Memorial Center, which opened in 1984.  The Dallas Holocaust Museum is dedicated to reducing prejudice by teaching about the Holocaust, to preserving the experiences of those who survived, and to honoring the memory of those who perished.  The Dallas Holocaust Museum is currently located at 211 N. Record Street, Dallas, Texas until a permanent facility is completed in 2006.  For more information and location, please visit their web site.  Open weekdays from 10:00am to 5:00 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00am to 5:00pm.
