detoxification process begins. Patients are medically stabilized over
a period of five to seven days, based upon medical necessity. Within
seventy-two hours of admission, patients are given a comprehensive
Mental Health Multi-Disciplinary Assessment by the attending Mental
Health Professionals on staff.

Crest Foundation

Cedar Crest Foundation is a private, non-profit organization providing
behavioral healthcare and therapeutic educational services to "at
risk" children, youth and adults throughout Texas. For children
and adolescents, ages 4 to 18, we provide two distinct 24-hour
treatment environments. Our Psychiatric Hospital provides short-term
treatment for children who have been traumatized to the extent that
they have become a danger to themselves or others. Our
longer-term Residential Treatment Programs are for young people who
need more extensive treatment before returning to their homes.
To meet the needs of our clients in the least restrictive setting
possible, our Partial Hospital Program, Intensive Outpatient Program
and Family Counseling Centers can assess and treat patients without a
costly inpatient stay.
