Addison
Airport
(ADS) was conceived in 1954 by a group of flying enthusiasts, and was
developed under the direction of Henry Stuart. Construction of the airport was completed
in 1957. Stuarts group sold the airport to the Town of Addison in 1986. It is now
the third largest general aviation airport in the country and boasts a runway of 7,200
feet.
Alliance
Airport (AFW)- Over a decade ago, the City of Fort
Worth, the FAA and Alliance began work on the first purely industrial airport in the
Western Hemisphere. The official groundbreaking ceremonies were in July 1988.
Today, Alliance Airport features the full complement of flight services and is the
cornerstone for the nation's fastest-growing industrial complex. There is no finer
facility for general and industrial aviation than Alliance Airport.
Arlington
Municipal Airport (GKY) - is a full-service general aviation reliever airport
owned and operated by the City of Arlington. Runway 16/34 is 6,000 feet x 100 feet with
medium intensity lighting and a full parallel taxiway. Two published instrument approaches
are available to assist aircraft operations in inclement weather. The City owns and manages 96 T-hangars, one maintenance
hangar and 140 tie down spaces. Also on the site is a 7,000 sq. ft. terminal building that
houses the airport administrative offices. The airport is centrally located between Fort
Worth and Dallas. It is within approximately one half mile of two major regional freeways,
one of which is Federal Interstate 20. The location is near one of Arlington's largest
business park corridors as well as a major regional shopping center.
Collin
County Regional Airport (TKI) - Collin County Regional Airport is
Your North Dallas Business Connection. The airport offers a host of
services for most aircraft from the Global Express to small homebuilts.
The Airport has an FAA Contract Air Traffic Control Tower, ILS, VOR-DME,
and GPS approaches to the 7001 ft. runway. The Fixed Base Operator (FBO),
WingsPoint offers a host of support services ranging from aircraft tie
downs and hangars to fuel, maintenance and aircraft repair. In addition, a
flight school and conference facilities are conveniently located within
the FBO. The Airport is strategically located just minutes from downtown
Dallas, the Telecom Corridor, and the Millenium and Legacy Business Parks.
Denton
Municipal Airport (DTO)- The Denton Municipal Airport(DTO) is located within
the city limits, only four miles from the central business district and 15 minutes north
of the Texas Motor Speedway. The airport uses a full instrument landing system and
Navigational Directional Beam, Global Positioning System, VASI II and VASI IV, which are
owned by the City and maintained by the FAA. Full aeronautic services are available.
DFW
International Airport (DFW) - DFW
Airport, which first opened to traffic a few minutes past midnight on January 13, 1974, is
jointly owned by the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth and is operated by the DFW Airport
Board. DFW Airport is the most successful cooperative project in the history of the

Grayson County Airport
(F39)-sits on nearly 1,400 acres of internmodal gold in the gently rolling and wooded
terrain of North Texas. The big sky and long horizons of this land stretch to the shores
of Lake Texoma and the Red River Valley. On a "severe clear" day from the
100-foot control tower, one can see way beyond the Oklahoma border that lies about six
miles to the north and almost glimpse the Dallas skyline 75 miles to the south. For

Love Field
(DAL)- Dallas Love
Field started life in 1917 as a World War I military training base. First air passenger
service from Love Field took place September 17, 1927, destined for Chicago. Currently,
Love Field is the headquarters for Southwest Airlines, the fourth largest U.S. airline in
terms of domestic customers carried. Love Field is about seven miles north of
downtown Dallas and is owned and operated by the City of Dallas.
Meacham
International Airport (FTW)- Meacham Airport is best known for its long-term
association with corporate and student pilot activity. Meacham Airport was constructed in
1925 , and has undergone many changes and reconfigurations through the years. The present
layout presents two parallel runways and a crosswind runway. Three full-service Fixed Base operators provide top-quality services to the many aircraft
that utilize this airport. Other major businesses include commercial aircraft
modifications, avionics service, aircraft painting, aircraft sales, airframe and
powerplant shops, a pilot shop with a complete line of supplies and gifts, a passenger
terminal that houses restaurant service, and a host of practically every other aircraft
service imaginable including offices, counter spaces and meeting places
Executive Airport
(RBD)- is owned and operated by the City of Dallas and is located in Southwest Dallas at
Hwy 67 and Hampton Road. Services offered
include avionics service, charter flights, flight instruction, and aircraft rental.
